Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Samir Bajaala met today with the President of the General Federation of Yemeni Trade Unions Ali Bamhisun.
The meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary for Labor Sector Ali Al-Qatabri, discussed aspects of cooperation and joint coordination between the Ministry and the Union in various fields.
In the meeting, Minister Bajaala stressed the importance of joint work between the ministry and the union to promote workers' rights, solve their issues and meet their needs. He pointed out that the government pays attention to the General Federation of Trade Unions in the Republic.
In turn, the President of the Federation presented a draft memorandum of understanding between the Federation and the Ministry to coordinate efforts and a mechanism of work for the Union and the election of sub-federations, trade unions, and the General Union.
After that, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor honored the President of the General Federation of Yemeni Trade Unions, the Secretary-General of the Federation, Abdul Karim Al-Atna, and the Director of the Social Welfare Fund, Amir Al-Warith, with certificates of appreciation for their distinguished community role and efforts.
