WB warns against increasing cut in aid for poorest countries
[Mon, 14 Oct 2024 20:50:38 +0300]

Washington - Saba:
The World Bank on Sunday warned that the 26 poorest countries, where 40% of the population live under poverty level, are suffering from cut in international aid, amid deterioration in their socioeconomic situation.

The WB expressed concerns about the decline in counter-poverty in these countries at time their need rocketed to its most, according to AFP.

Still, these countries are facing a record level of debts, the highest since 2006, increasingly affecting the global warming and fueling political stability and food insecurity, the WB added in a report.
