HODEIDA - SABA: Dr. Nasher Al-Qaoud, Deputy Minister of Health and Environment, conducted an inspection on Tuesday of the ongoing expansion and development projects at Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Hodeida province.
Accompanied by Dr. Mohammed al-Mansour, Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Care Sector, Dr. al-Qaoud assessed the progress of the hospital’s services, including those in the emergency and intensive care departments.
They received detailed briefings from Dr. Khaled Suhail, Chairman of the Authority, regarding the current level of patient care and the challenges faced by the hospital.
The inspection also included a review of modernization and development initiatives, such as new centers and departments that are either recently opened or under construction.
Dr. al-Qaoud, Dr. Al-Mansour, and Dr. Khaled Al-Madani, Director of the Health and Environment Office in the Governorate, discussed the hospital's role in combating infectious diseases and controlling their spread, especially with the onset of winter, which typically sees an increase in cases.
Dr. al-Qaoud commended the improvements in service delivery and expansion efforts, acknowledging the dedication of the hospital's leadership and staff in enhancing healthcare services despite the challenging circumstances faced by the country.
