SANA'A -SABA: Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan al-Saadi, along with Sheikh Abdulmajid al-Houthi of the Endowments Authority and Shamsan Abu Nashtan of the Zakat Authority, visited on Tuesday al-Shafaqah Foundation to inspect the conditions of kidney failure and cancer patients.

The visit coincided with the celebration of the Prophet's birthday. During the visit, Wathiq al-Qurashi, head of the foundation, briefed the officials on the health services provided to patients and the institution’s needs.

Minister al-Saadi emphasized the importance of supporting patients amid limited medical resources and encouraged businesses to contribute.

Sheikh al-Saadi announced the launch of the third phase of the "And cooperate in righteousness and piety" project, which will support orphans, the blind, and patients.

The Endowments Authority will allocate four billion YER to various charitable and educational causes. Abu Nashtan assured that the Zakat Authority would match the Endowments Authority’s support and cover costs for 100 kidney transplants.

A new hospital for kidney patients is set to open in two months. The visit concluded with symbolic financial aid provided to patients by the Endowments Authority.
