SANA'A August 30. 2024 (Saba) - On Friday, the Super Cup basketball tournament for clubs (men's category), organized by the Yemeni General Federation of the game, kicked off at the closed sports hall in Seiyun city, Hadramawt Province.
Participating in the championship are the clubs that won the first four places in the classification league, which took place last year, namely: Al-Wahda Sana'a, Ahli Sana'a, Al-Tallal, and Sha'ab Hadramawt, respectively, and its competitions are held in an "all-for-all" system.
In the opening match of the tournament, Sana'a Unity achieved a comfortable victory over its neighbor Al-Ahli with a score of 63/36, after Al-Wahda players dominated the game's performance , result, and were able to settle the four periods of the match by 17/12, 14/6, 15/11, and 17/7.
In the second match, Sha'ab Hadramawt team managed to achieve a wide victory over Al-Tallal team with a score of 78/40.
Thanks to the efforts and brilliance of its players, Shaaba's team won the four periods of the match by 22 / 8, 17 / 10, 23 / 10 and 16 / 12.
The matches were attended by the President of the Yemeni General Basketball Federation, Abdul Sattar Al-Hamdani, and a number of leaders of the clubs participating in the tournament.
The tournament saw the participation of about forty players who were divided into eight teams, named after the historical landmarks of Hadramawt.
