DAMASCUS August 30. 2024 (Saba) - Field and local sources from the area surrounding the illegal US occupation army base in the "Coneco" gas field and plant north of Deir ez-Zor on Friday said a number of soldiers were wounded inside the base.
In exclusive remarks to the 'Sputnik, the sources said: "Helicopters were seen landing and flying shortly after the attack, as if they had ambulance and transported the injured, while at the same time flying American reconnaissance drones in the airspace of the region."
The sources, who preferred not to be named and attributed, added: "In conjunction with the drone attack on the US occupation base in the "Coneco" field, several missile salvos exploded to occupy the "American anti-American" inside the base."
The sources noted that the anti-aircraft missiles fired from the base failed to stop the drones despite the operation of all their anti-missiles at the base, and the drones hit their targets in addition to the fall of a number of rockets inside and around the base, which is considered the largest attack on US bases in eastern Syria.
The Pentagon commented after the attack: "We reserve the right to respond at the time and place of our choice in the event of an attack by our forces in Iraq or Syria."
On the other hand, information was available to "Sputnik" about the full alert of the auxiliary forces of the Syrian Arab Army in the areas under their control on the banks of the Euphrates River opposite the bank controlled by the US occupation army and its gunmen from the SDF.
