BEIRUT August 25. 2024 (Saba) - Israeli aircraft early on Sunday conducted a series of intense raids across Lebanon, which the Israeli government has described as a preemptive strike.
The aggression was quickly followed by a barrage of missiles aimed at northern occupied Palestine.
International media reported that a large number of Israeli warplanes targeted various locations in Lebanon.
Israeli military spokesperson Hagari announced that the air force had initiated the attacks, justifying the action as a preemptive measure in response to perceived threats from Hezbollah.
Hagari stated, "We detected Hezbollah's preparations to launch missiles and rockets at Israel (occupied Palestine). To mitigate this threat, we conducted a preemptive strike."
This escalation follows Hezbollah's earlier threats to retaliate for the assassination of its military commander, Fouad Shukr.
Shortly after the Israeli attacks, southern Lebanon saw a significant missile barrage directed at northern occupied Palestine.
