NABLUS August 23. 2024 (Saba) - A young Palestinian was injured by live ammunition and another was arrested early Friday morning during an Israeli military raid on Nablus and its Old City.
According to Red Crescent paramedics, a 17-year-old was shot in the foot by Israeli forces during the operation.
The Palestinian News Agency reported that several Israeli military vehicles entered Nablus from al-Tur checkpoint, storming areas including Yili al-Saha, Khallet al-Amoud, Ras al-Ain, al-Dahiya, Talat Habs al-Dam, Krum Ashour, and various neighborhoods in and around the Old City.
The raid was accompanied by heavy gunfire, explosions, and the deployment of snipers on rooftops.
The Israeli forces also conducted house raids, including one on Shaaban family home, resulting in significant property damage.
Simultaneously, intense clashes erupted in the Old City, with Israeli forces firing live rounds indiscriminately.
In a related incident, Israeli forces also stormed the village of Wadi Fukin, west of Bethlehem, on Friday.
Security sources reported that the forces raided and searched the homes of Sabri Rashad Mufreh and his children, Mohammed and Lamis.
No arrests were reported during this barbaric operation.
