HODEIDA August 12. 2024 (Saba) – A significant aid convoy from Sa'ada province arrived in Hodeida on Monday, delivering essential food and shelter supplies to flood victims.
The convoy, a gesture of solidarity from the people of Sa'ada, includes 2,000 bags of flour, 500 packets of sugar, 150 bags of rice, beans, and lentils, as well as a thousand mattresses, sheets, and pillows.
Additionally, it contains blankets, fruit baskets, and a supply of juices and biscuits.
Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, who oversees flood damage response, commended the generosity of Sa'ada’s residents.
"Sa'ada is known for its spirit of generosity and support," he remarked.
Hodeida first undersecretary governor Ahmed al-Bishri expressed gratitude for Sa'ada’s initiative, which aims to ease the hardships of families severely affected by recent rains.
Culture office director Yahya al-Hamzi in Sa'ada emphasized that this aid reflects a deep commitment to humanitarian duty and solidarity.
