AMRAN August 05. 2024 (Saba) - The Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, and the Governor of Amran, Dr. Faisal Jaman, inaugurated on Monday along with the Deputy Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Fahd Al-Ezzi, the Shaharah City Road Project.
The project is among the projects directed by the President of the Supreme Political Council, His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, during his visit to Shaharah Directorate, with a length of one kilometer , 153 meters and a width of 6.6 meters, starting from Al-Khamis Market and reaching Shaharah City, in addition to protective and retaining walls, curbs, rainwater drainage channels, and stone paving works for Shaharah City squares at a value of 400 million riyals, funded by the Road Maintenance Fund and implemented by the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the caretaker government pointed out that the visit comes in implementation of the directives of the Revolution Leader and the President of the Supreme Political Council of the government to visit the field directorates of the province and inspect the conditions of citizens and follow up on projects and the their completion level.
Dr. Maqbouli stressed that these projects contribute to alleviating the citizens' suffering, especially in rural areas, appreciating the Road Maintenance Fund, the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges' efforts, as well as the local authority in the province and those in charge of the project.
Governor Jaman stressed that the opening Shaharah City Road Project embodies the interest of the Revolution Leader and the President of the Supreme Political Council in providing the province's needs for projects, and is the result of President Al-Mashat's visit to the governorate and his directives to implement many service projects in the directorates.
He pointed out the importance of completing the implementation of many road maintenance projects during this year, including the second phase of Al-Asha Al-Qaflah Al-Abisa Road, Amran Rida Road, and Thula Amran Road, which connect many directorates to each other and to neighboring province.
