OCCUPIED QUDS August 04. 2024 (Saba) - Gaza Municipality confirmed that the continued crisis of the accumulation of large quantities of waste and the leakage of sewage in the city streets, in addition to the lack of sufficient quantities of water, increases the spread of diseases , epidemics , threatens to exacerbate health and environmental crises in the city.
The municipality said in a statement today, Sunday: The exacerbation of the health and environmental disaster in Gaza and the accumulation of about 100 thousand tons of waste in Gaza City alone, in addition to the small amount of water reaching citizens with the rise in temperatures and the continuation of the aggression for ten months, has led to the creation of a fertile environment for the spread of infectious diseases and various diseases that affect citizens.
The municipality pointed out that since the beginning of the aggression in October last year, the Zionist enemy has destroyed about 126 vehicles of various sizes, destroyed 60 wells in several areas, in addition to destroying health facilities , various service facilities, swept away and uprooted about 60 thousand trees in most areas of the city.
The Gaza Municipality called on all local, regional and international organizations to quickly intervene and rescue the humanitarian situation and help provide sufficient quantities of vehicles, spare parts , fuel , treat and mitigate the disaster to prevent the health disaster worsening and stop the spread of various diseases.
