MOSCOW August 4. 2024 (Saba): Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov confirmed that Moscow and Washington were able to avoid a new round of escalation, commenting on the conversation between the Russian and American defense ministers.
Ryabkov said in a statement reported by the Russian news agency "Sputnik" that based on some signals sent from the Russian side to the American side, and not only to Washington, but also to some other capitals controlled by Washington, we have avoided a new round of escalation, noting that scenarios in which the escalation step is actually possible will be considered.
