IBB July 29. 2024 (Saba) - An inauguration event for the Secondary School for Islamic Sciences and a commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Zaid, peace be upon him, took place on Monday in Ibb province under the slogan "Whoever Loves Life Lives Humiliated."
The event, attended by governor Abdulwahid Salah and undersecretaries Rakan al-Naqeeb, Yahya Al-Qasimi, and Qasim al-Musawi, featured speeches emphasizing the significance of the new school in nurturing students with Quranic knowledge and religious education.
Abdulfattah Ghallab, the official of general mobilization, highlighted the school’s role in reinforcing Quranic values and following the path of Imam Zaid, whose revolution aimed to reform Islam and challenge tyranny. Ghallab urged attendees to emulate the virtues of the Prophet’s family and adhere to Quranic teachings in confronting modern-day adversaries.
Sheikh Muqbil al-Kadhi from the Yemeni Scholars Association stressed the importance of commemorating Imam Zaid’s legacy, noting his sacrifices in the fight against oppression and injustice.
He connected Imam Zaid’s struggle to current issues, criticizing the inaction of Arab and Islamic regimes regarding the ongoing suffering of Palestinians.
The event featured speeches that underscored the need to educate the younger generation about the Quranic culture and the exemplary lives of the Prophet’s family, emphasizing lessons in patience, sacrifice, and resistance against injustice.
The participants also condemned the silence of regional governments in the face of the Israeli aggression against Palestinians.
