RAMALLAH July 29. 2024 (Saba) - The Palestinian forces reiterated on Monday their call for imposing sanctions on the Zionist enemy and prosecuting it for its ongoing war crimes, particularly the extermination campaign in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), national and Islamic forces issued a statement emphasizing the importance of wide participation in support of Gaza and detainees on the National and International Day to Support Detainees, scheduled for Saturday, August 3.
The forces urged participation from within Palestine, refugee camps, the diaspora, and global capitals to highlight the enemy's crimes.
They called on international and legal institutions to impose sanctions and prosecute the Zionist enemy for war crimes and crimes against humanity, noting the ongoing American partnership in the ten-month-long extermination campaign.
The statement highlighted the severe abuse, torture, medical neglect, and resultant deaths of detainees, citing the recent martyrdom of Sheikh Mustafa Abu Ara in detention.
This brings the total number of martyrs in captivity to 257 since the occupation began, with 19 martyrs recorded since October 7th.
