DOHA July 17. 2024 (Saba) - Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, denied on Wednesday all that is being discussed about Hamas' suspension of negotiations, stressing that the movement is continuing efforts to reach an end to the war in accordance with the conditions it set.
Haniyeh's position came during a meeting with the Chairman of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, Dr. Bassel Al-Hassan, in Qatar, within the framework of discussing the Palestinian refugee file in Lebanon and the reality of UNRWA.
Haniyeh stressed Hamas' keenness on the stability of Lebanon, appreciating the great efforts made by the Lebanese government at all levels and the efforts of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee with regard to protecting UNRWA and strengthening its role at this time.
Haniyeh valued the role of Qatar in the negotiations, hoping to reach a ceasefire as soon as possible, expressing his great confidence in the political and field status of the Palestinian resistance.
