SANA'A July 17. 2024 (Saba) - The Supreme Committee for Elections and Referendums organized on Wednesday a speech event on Imam Hussein, peace be upon him,martyrdom anniversary “Ashura,” and a vigil in supporting revolution leader decisions , and congratulations on the security achievement in exposing the American-Zionist spy cells.
At the event, the Chairman of the Committee, Judge Muhammad Al-Salmi, reviewed aspects of the life and biography of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, stressing that these painful events would not have occurred had it not been for the failure to support Imam Hussein and his companions in Karbala.

He pointed out that failure and negligence consequences did not end with the end of Karbala events, but rather extended beyond them, pointing out that the cause of Imam Hussein was to support the oppressed and stand against arrogant tyrants.
In the event attended by the Vice-Chairman of the Committee and its members, Secretary-General Muhammad Al-Jalal and Judge Muhammad Bazi explained that commemorating Ashura and talking about Karbala incident, which continued to shake the living consciences of Islamic nation people in all generations, confirms the need to revive it, because of the lessons it carries that will benefit the nation in its reality today is facing the tyranny forces and global arrogance.
A statement issued by the vigil organized by the committee after the event renewed the pledge to the revolution leader , to continue in the path of Imam Hussein to confront the forces of arrogance, at the forefront of which are America and Israel, to support the Palestinian cause, and to support the people of Gaza until the Palestinian people achieve independence and establish their state on all of their lands.
