NEW YORK July 17. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Tuesday that more than 95 percent of UNRWA schools in the Gaza Strip were used as shelters to house displaced Palestinians when they were targeted by the Israeli army.
UNRWA schools have been targeted since the start of the war on the seventh of last October, the UNRWA added, according to the Palestine Today Agency.
It noted that 539 people were killed while taking shelter in UNRWA facilities.
