PARIS July 08. 2024 (Saba) - Several unions in the company operating Paris airports called for a strike on Monday on July 17, about ten days before the opening of the Olympic Games, demanding a bonus for "all employees" during this period that will witness congestion.
According to Agence France-Presse, the CGT, CFDT, FO and UNSA unions announced in a statement "boycotting their participation in all forms of their meetings with the management" calling for "a strike on July 17 until they get what they want."
In the statement, they denounced "the unilateral decisions taken by the chairman of the board of directors to pay a bonus to only a portion of the employees" demanding guarantees to provide leave.
Thousands of athletes are expected to begin arriving to participate in the Olympic Games on July 18 when the Olympic Village opens.
