SANA'A June 20. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects hot weather in the coastal and desert areas and inland plateaus during the next 24 hours.
The center explained in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that the weather will be hot to very hot in the deserts and inland plateaus, with maximum temperatures ranging between 40-45 degrees Celsius.
It pointed out that the weather will be hot and humid in the coastal areas and plains, with maximum temperatures ranging between 34-40 degrees Celsius.
The Center warned citizens of the hot and extreme temperatures in deserts, inland plateaus, coastal areas and plains, as it is advised not to be directly exposed to the sun’s rays, to drink plenty of water and fluids.
It also warned fishermen , seagoers of sea turbulence , high waves around the Socotra Archipelago , the eastern and southern coasts.
The Center asked citizens not to be in the depths of valleys , flood paths and to take shelter from thunderstorms.
