SANA'A June 14. 2024 (Saba) - His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, was briefed on the latest developments related to the reopening of the road linking Al-Hawban and downtown Taiz, as part of his continued follow-up to the initiative of the Revolution Leader regarding opening roads in Taiz Province.

During the call, the President listened from Al-Musawa to a brief explanation of the steps and efforts made that resulted in the reopening of the main road, Al-Hawban, Qasr Al-Shaab Al-Kamp, by the local authority, and the measures that were taken to ensure safe passage for citizens.

President Al-Mashat praised the constructive efforts made by the local authority in cooperation with the Fourth Military Region and social figures from the province, noting that step comes in response to a generous initiative by the revolution leader , Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.

He stressed the vital role of this road in alleviating the suffering of citizens, facilitating their movement, and reducing the burdens resulting from the use of alternative roads that were posing a danger to lives and property.

The President directed to continue dialogue and coordination with reasonable people from the concerned parties to open Khamseen Al-Nour City Road for heavy and medium transport trucks, expressing his hope that reasonable people from the other side will respond to this step, which will strengthen the conditions inside the city, alleviate the suffering of civilians, and contribute to reducing the long distances they endure. Citizens, in order to move on to the rest of the public issues.

He stressed that the road will remain safe and benefit all civilians, stressing that what has been done is an encouraging step upon which to build to resolve the rest of the files in Taiz Province.

For his part, the Acting Governor explained that the opening of the road came at a significant historical moment in the history of the country , the Islamic nation, and it was destined for success and the interests of the citizens were given priority.

He pointed out that the voice of rational people was the most prominent and prevailed over other calls and the opposing external agenda, despite the pressures faced by the other party and the multiplicity of parties interfering in its local affairs in those areas.

Al-Musawa noted that there are good efforts that have been followed up around the clock on a daily basis during the past five days, since the announcement of the initiative, praising the positive efforts and endeavors of the field personnel on both sides to repair the damage caused to the road as a result of confrontations and combat operations.

He praised President Al-Mashat's interest in the province, his keenness and his diligent follow-up of everything that would achieve public interests, provide basic services to citizens, and endeavors that would alleviate human suffering and enhance social peace among the people of the country.
