MOSCOW June 8. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Defense Ministry has said its air defenses shot down 28 Ukrainian drones over a number of Russian regions.

"Russian air defense systems shot down 28 Ukrainian drones over Crimea, the Sea of Azov, the Krasnodar Territory, the Belgorod and Rostov regions," the ministry said in a statement.

The statement added that Ukraine tried overnight, with the help of drones, to carry out attacks on targets inside Russian territory.

In a related context, the Lugansk authorities announced that at least 20 people were injured as a result of rocket shelling by Ukrainian forces on the city.
