NEW YORK June 07. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Thursday condemned the Zionist bombing of an UNRWA school in Gaza as "another terrifying example of the price paid by civilians."

"It is another terrifying example of the price paid by civilians, Palestinian men, women and children who are just trying to hold on, forced to flee amid a spiral of death across Gaza," spokesman for Gutters, Stephane Dujarric, said at a press conference on Thursday, stressing that accountability "must be held for everything that happens in Gaza."

EU foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell has called for an investigation into the Zionist strike on an UNRWA school in Gaza, which killed dozens of civilians.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said the enemy on Thursday bombed one of its schools in Gaza Strip "without warning", after thousands of displaced Palestinians sought refuge there.

A hospital in Gaza Strip said the death toll of the Israeli airstrike on UNRWA school in central Gaza had topped 37, (but later increased to 40, according to the government information office in Gaza Strip).
