MOSCOW May 23. 2024 (Saba) - Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that his country attaches particular importance to strengthening friendly relations with African partners, where the desire to build a just multipolar world order unites nations.
"Russia attaches particular importance to strengthening friendly relations with African partners, and we are united in the desire to build a just multipolar world order based on genuine equality and the rule of international law, free from any form of discrimination, dictates, pressures and sanctions." The Russian President said in a telegram congratulating African Heads of State and Government on the occasion of Africa Day today.
In a congratulatory telegram posted on the Kremlin's website, he noted that the holding of the second Russian-African Summit in St. Petersburg in 2023 had created the conditions to build productive and mutually beneficial cooperation in a variety of areas.
The Russian President expressed confidence that "the continued implementation of the plans and agreements reached as a result of this important multilateral meeting meets our common interests and is consistent with ensuring stability and security on the African continent."
