GAZA May 07. 2024 (Saba) - The government media office in Gaza has confirmed that the Zionist enemy is deliberately aggravating the humanitarian situation by stopping the entry of aid, closing the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings and targeting hospitals and schools with its aggression eastern Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
The office said in a statement on Tuesday "as a continuation of the genocidal war waged by the occupation army against our Palestinian people in all governorates of the Gaza Strip from North to South, the occupation decided to aggravate the humanitarian reality doubly and catastrophically."
It explained that this leads to the killing of more civilians, children and women, whose number increased within 12 hours to more than 35 martyrs, as well as the enemy's decision to stop the entry of aid, close the Rafah and Kerem Abu Salem crossings, take hospitals out of Service and target schools that house hundreds of thousands of displaced people, as they became shelter centers by placing them in the Red targeting circle according to the occupation.
The office pointed out that the reality eastern Rafah indicates a real humanitarian disaster not only in Rafah alone, but also extends to all the governorates of the Gaza Strip, which has been living in a tragic state of systematic starvation, subsistence and lack of supplies and assistance for seven continuous months.
It stressed that the Zionist enemy's decision to stop aid and close the crossings worsens the humanitarian situation catastrophically and calls for immediate and urgent international intervention to put pressure on the enemy to stop this aggression, stop the waterfall of blood flowing, and stop the war of genocide against civilians, children and women.
The media office condemned in the strongest terms the ongoing murders committed by the enemy army against the Palestinian people, as well as the enemy army's storming and closure of the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings, its decision to stop aid and impose a state of confusion among the ranks of medical personnel, the wounded, the sick and the displaced and forcing them to evacuate hospitals, schools and shelter centers by threatening to target them.
It called on the whole world to condemn this new crime, the crime of forced eviction of homes and property and the threat to continue killing and committing massacres against civilians, especially children and women.
The office held the American administration, the international community and the Zionist enemy fully responsible for this continuous aggression against the civilians of the Palestinian people, and for the continuation of the genocidal war in which the American administration is engaged and the international community has failed to stop it for seven continuous months.
It called on all the countries of the free world to put pressure on the Zionist enemy in order to stop the aggression on Rafah, stop the war of genocide and open the crossings to the movement of passengers, goods and aid, before a real humanitarian disaster occurred in eastern Rafah governorate, for which the world bears responsibility.
