The pace of protests organized by American university students in support of Gaza is escalating, coinciding with a campaign of arrests by police forces of protesting demonstrators.
According to the British newspaper "The Guardian", with the continuation of student-led protests and the demand for a ceasefire in Gaza, some faculty members joined their students ' side.
The arrests continued on Saturday, with about 200 protesters arrested at three universities across the United States.
The Indiana University Police Department in Bloomington said in a statement that 23 protesters were arrested there.
