SA'ADA April 23. 2024 (Saba) - In its meeting, headed by Governor Muhammad Awad, the Public Tenders Committee in Sa'ada province discussed the progress of work on a number of road projects in the province.
The meeting, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Muhammad Al-Emad, reviewed the progress of work on Kattaf - Wadi Murar - Al Omaisi road projects, the eastern Bani Awir - Western Bani Awir road, and Al-Aqiq road linking Ketaf line and Al-Aqiq district.
He touched on the memorandum of the Director of the Rural Roads Development Program at the Ministry of Public Works regarding the implementation of a rural road project in the province, funded by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, and nominating one of the projects included in the program plan for implementation, which has a higher priority for implementation at the present time.
He also reviewed a number of memorandums and proposals for the implementation of several road, paving , backfilling projects, their quantities and specifications, provided that they will be implemented and work completed when funding is available.
The meeting approved the implementation of Al-Aqiq Line Project linking Ketaf Line and Izlat Al-Aqiq, with a length of 31 km, and assigned the province’s Undersecretary for the Works Sector to follow up on the rural roads development program in implementing previous commitments regarding Qataber-Al Thabet Road.
