WASHINGTON April 07. 2024 (Saba) - American Islamic figure Abdulraheem McCarthy has stressed that he only knew Islam from Gaza.
McCarthy stressed that he has been seeking knowledge for 30 years and calling to God for about 20 years. However, he did not know the truth of Islam except through seeing the people of Gaza apply the teachings of their religion.
McCarthy said, in an interview with the “Days of God” program on Al Jazeera Live last night, “Their patience, their certainty in God, their attachment to God, and their faith in Him is a wondrous thing... Glory be to God! They are suffering and I ask God to lift the calamity from them, but they teach us what it is like to adhere to Islam.”
He added "How many Muslims returned to their Lord because of these events, and how many non-Muslims entered Islam because of these events and because of the patience of these people."
McCarthy pointed out that the patience of the people of Gaza in the face of the loss of their children and loved ones, and their consideration of their loved ones in the sight of God, is the evidence of the Almighty’s saying: “Those (i.e. believers) unto whom the people (hypocrites) said, "Verily, the people (pagans) have gathered against you (a great army), therefore, fear them." But it (only) increased them in Faith, and they said: "Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).
It is worth mentioning that McCarthy converted to Islam when he was 18, and then he became one of the most famous Islamic figure to Islam in the English language.
He is now a trainer to qualify figures who know Islam, and a member of the supreme body of the Association of Muslim Scholars, and he has preached trips to more than 30 countries. He has He participated in many international conferences related to introducing Islam.
