SANA'A March 27. 2024 (Saba) - Intisaf Organization for Women and Children's Rights organized today, Wednesday, in Sana'a, a press conference under the slogan "9 years of crime...the aggression continues" and issued a human rights report documenting the most prominent violations against women and children as a result of the aggression and siege and their effects since March 26, 2015 - March 25, 2024 AD.
In the press conference, the Minister of Human Rights in the caretaker government, Ali Al-Dailami, appreciated the role of the Intisaf organization and its tireless work in women’s issues, especially with the lack of work regarding women’s issues. He urged human rights organizations to move in this aspect more widely, especially since there is a large systematic targeting of women.
He pointed to the killing and genocide that women were subjected to in Yemen and Palestine in light of international silence. He said, "International mechanisms were supposed to take action in the face of the number of women victims in Yemen and Palestine, but that did not happen."
He explained that women and their fundamental issues are not of concern to the United Nations and the international community, as the Western project for women is very dangerous and seeks to prevent them from having a scientific and social impact, but rather exploitation , human trafficking, and distancing themselves from everything that makes them strong.
Minister Al-Dailami touched on the status of women in Islam, and the suspicious calls and lies spread by the West to liberate women.
For her part, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Akhlaq Al-Shami, praised the Yemeni women’s generosity and steadfastness during nine years of aggression, as they were able to be the safety valve of society, and to play their full role in preserving the family, bearing its responsibility, raising generations, and raising them in a conscious faith-based upbringing.
She added, "Nine years of American-Saudi-Emirati aggression have passed, during which the aggression countries spared no effort in trying to subjugate the Yemeni people. They used all types of internationally prohibited weapons and committed the most heinous crimes against civilians, targeting them in their homes and places of work and in all civilian objects protected under international laws."
Al-Shami referred to the conditions of children and women and their suffering as a result of the aggression , siege and their repercussions, indicating that the Yemeni people were able, despite all of this, to write the most wonderful epic of patience, steadfastness, sacrifice, giving, valor, and here they are inaugurating their tenth year of steadfastness, victory, steadfastness, certainty in God and His victory.
In turn, the official in charge of the Human Rights and Legal Department of the Political office of Ansar Allah, Judge Abdul Wahab Al-Mahbashi, pointed out the importance of recalling the massacres and brutal crimes committed by the aggression in Yemen, and documenting the names and photos of the victims, especially children, and uploading them in the cities.
He said, "After nine years, it has become clear who is the defender of Arab national security, and who is the one who threatens Arab national security, and it has become clear that those who left the Arab embrace are those Arabs who have no connection to Arabism , have become agents of the Zionist entity and a tool for eliminating what remains of Arabism."
Judge Al-Mahbashi pointed out that the claims of Arabism have become a mask used by Zionism to oppress the Arab and Islamic world.
While the head of the Intisaf Organization, Sumaya Al-Taifi, stated that the organization documented and verified thousands of raids that caused thousands of civilian casualties, especially women , children, and it was found that a large number of them were deliberately directed at civilians in neighborhoods, markets, wedding and funeral halls, displacement camps, and public roads. And direct, all of which represent a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law of war, and amount to war crimes that require international prosecution for all parties involved in committing them, whether individuals or groups.
She pointed out that the report included the grave violations committed against women and children during the aggression, the serious sexual violations they are exposed to in the areas under occupation, and the psychological and social effects on them, in addition to the violations represented by deprivation of health , education, food insecurity, the spread of epidemics , diseases, and the deteriorating living situation. As a result of the interruption of salaries, which led to an increase in the rate of child labor, in addition to the recruitment of children in the occupied territories.
Al-Taifi called on the United Nations to stop the aggression and siege and deal with the file of aggression against Yemen seriously, impartially and professionally, in accordance with international laws and agreements.
After that, the organization’s reporting officer, Faten Sharaf El-Din, reviewed the report “9 Years of Crime...The Aggression Continues,” indicating that the victims of the aggression amounted to more than 50,025 dead and wounded civilians.
The report stated that the number of deaths reached 18,381, including four thousand and 123 children , two thousand and 486 women, while the number of wounded reached 31,644, including four thousand , 992 children , three thousand and 57 women.
He stated that the aggression warplanes launched two thousand and 932 cluster raids over the past nine years, and the number of their victims reached about nine thousand civilians, most of whom were women and children, noting that the aggression aircraft used more than three million and 187 thousand and 630 American, British, Pakistani and Brazilian cluster munitions spread in most provinces.
The report pointed out that the number of violations committed by the aggression forces on the West Coast amounted to more than 800 crimes against children and women, all of which were crimes of kidnapping and rape.
The recommendations issued by the conference called for an end to the aggression and unjust siege on Yemen in all its forms, calling on the United Nations to cancel the decision to remove the aggression coalition from the list of killing and maiming children, as it continues to commit massacres against women and children in Yemen.
They urged all human rights, legal and media organizations and bodies to highlight the violations and crimes committed against civilians, especially women , children, and reveal them to international public opinion in preparation for bringing the perpetrators to justice and prosecuting them.
The recommendations called for the formation of an independent international fact-finding committee to investigate all crimes and violations committed since the beginning of the aggression in March 2015... calling on the free people of the world to stand with the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples by exposing the crimes of the United States of America, Britain, the Zionist entity, the countries of the West, and countries affiliated with the Islamic nation.
They also called on the peoples of the world and the Islamic nation not to forget the blood that has been wasted and is still being shed in Yemen and Palestine, and that all crimes be fuel for liberation from enslavement and foreign guardianship.
The recommendations also called on the normalizing countries to stop all forms of normalization with the Zionist entity.
