GAZA March 26. 2024 (Saba) - A special source in the Palestinian resistance confirmed on Tuesday that negotiations are continuing despite their intractability.
Al-Mayadeen quoted the source as saying: "Despite all the flexibility shown by Hamas, especially in the issue of prisoners, "the Zionist enemy has come down to the minimum in the ceiling of its response."
Regarding the Zionist response to the issue of prisoners, their number and quality, the source explained that "it was worse than the previous response."
As for the return of the displaced to the north, he stated that "the Zionist enemy submitted a proposal that includes the transfer of the displaced to tents, under the supervision of the United Nations, on the condition of the gradual return of displaced women, children and the elderly, whose number does not exceed 60,000, while the number of displaced exceeds 800,000, which Hamas rejected."
The source stressed that Hamas "rejects what the Zionist enemy has presented regarding the return of the displaced in terms of number and mechanism," and that "Hamas and the resistance insist on the return of the displaced to their homes, even if they are destructive."
He pointed out that "the Zionist enemy did not mention a ceasefire, nor did it present a clear proposal on withdrawing from the crowded areas." He added that the Zionist enemy "seeks to consolidate its presence in the northern, central, eastern and southern Gaza Strip, as is clear."
In this context, the source stressed that "Hamas and the resistance also insist on seeing the maps, and that the deal include a complete Zionist withdrawal from the Gaza Strip."
Hamas insists on the return of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, while the Zionist enemy refuses to do so, according to the private source.
