LONDON March 10. 2024 (Saba) - An activist and member of the "Palestinian Action" group tore up a picture of the late British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour, at Trinity College, affiliated with the University of Cambridge, located in the city of Cambridge, eastern England.
On Friday, the Palestinian Action Group published on its social media account scenes of one of its members tearing up the picture with a sharp object after spraying it with red paint.
The group stated, in a post on its account, that the Balfour Declaration of 1917 was the reason for the Palestinians’ loss of their homeland, and that they carried out this act to emphasize Britain’s historical and current role in the occupation of Palestine.
Balfour was responsible for the Balfour Declaration, a document issued in 1917 that pledged to establish a “national home for the Jews” in Palestine.
