SANA'A Feb 04. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting in Sana'a on Sunday, headed by the Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals and Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahidi, discussed the workflow and tasks of the General Oil and Gas Corporation and the Oil and Mineral Investments Company.
The meeting, which included the Director of the Corporation, Mahmoud Al-Noum, the Deputy Executive Director of the Petroleum Investments Company, Abdul Rahman Al-Akwa, and a number of general and department directors in the ministry, the Corporation, and the company, stressed the importance of activating the important supervisory role of the Corporation, represented in supervising and controlling its affiliated units.
The Deputy Minister of Oil pointed out the importance of joining efforts between the various oil units and sectors in a way that contributes to the advancement of this vital sector and the promotion of areas of development.
He stressed the keenness to implement the relevant instructions of the leadership of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and the commitment of the leadership of the corporation and the company to submit plans and programs that will be implemented during the year 2024 AD on a chronic basis.
He stressed the need to find constructive visions and proposals to develop performance and tasks, and work to improve work and implement projects to enhance the role of this sector in providing oil derivatives services to citizens and alleviating their suffering as a result of the repercussions of the aggression and blockade.
Al-Wahidi appreciated the efforts and interest of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council in the Ministry of Oil and its affiliated units and enabling them to perform their various tasks and activities, stressing the keenness of the Ministry’s leadership to address the difficulties facing the work of the units, especially related to the implementation of their plans.
