BAGHDAD December 22. 2023 (Saba) - The Islamic resistance in Iraq, at Friday dawn, targeted the occupied Palestinian city of Umm al-Rashrash ("Eilat") with an attack with appropriate weapons on a target, emphasizing its continued attacks against the Zionist enemy.
The Iraqi Islamic Resistance published a brief statement, in which it adopted its targeting of Umm al-Rashrash, south of occupied Palestine.
According to the statement, the resistance mujahedin targeted a target in the occupied Umm al-Rashrash "to continue our approach to resisting the enemy, to support our people in Gaza, and to respond to the massacres perpetrated by the usurper entity against Palestinian civilians, children, women and the elderly".
AXIOS previously stated that the traffic of ships to the port of Eilat had almost completely ceased.
On Thursday, the Secretary-General of the Najba Movement in Iraq, Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi, confirmed that military resistance will not cease until victory is achieved, stressing that resistance "does not decline and does not threaten."
In the context of targeting U.S. bases in Syria and Iraq, Al-Mayadeen reported two days ago that American forces had been targeted at the Ain al-Assad base in the western Iraqi province of Anbar.
Resistance has targeted American bases in Syria and Iraq dozens of times since they began their response to Zionist aggression against Gaza, using rockets, drones and short-range ballistic missiles.
