Enemy media says occupation soldiers do not want to remain in Gaza

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS November 24. 2023 (Saba) - Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth has revealed that the leadership of the Zionist enemy entity is discussing in closed rooms away from the media reaching a longer truce than announced in the Gaza Strip.

The newspaper reported in a report that despite the hostile statements issued by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant about their desire to continue the aggression against Gaza, they and the highest circles of the occupation are discussing in closed rooms a truce that will last at least ten days.

The newspaper explained that, according to current estimates, it is not certain that the war in Gaza will return at the same pace if the temporary truce succeeds.

The newspaper questioned the promises of Netanyahu and Gallant to occupy the entire northern Gaza Strip, all the way to Khan Yunis, the Zaytoun neighborhood, and Jabalia.

The newspaper ruled out that Gallant would fulfill his declared promise to the Zionists to completely eliminate and dismantle Hamas.

Yedioth noted the existence of a "clear gap" between the military and security leadership on the one hand, and the Zionist fighters on the ground in Gaza in the other hand.

She pointed out that while Netanyahu, Gallant and others portray that everyone is determined to eradicate Hamas and continue the aggression unabated, there is a majority of the forces present in Gaza who want to leave the Strip and return to their homes.

The newspaper quoted a senior officer as saying the occupation army leadership will prevent soldiers from obtaining leave during the truce for fear that their morale will decline if they meet their families.

The newspaper also quoted two wounded members of the occupation army, saying "they do not want to return to the fighting fronts in Gaza."

Yedioth warned that the fear for the lives of the occupation army soldiers in Gaza during the truce lies among some non-Hamas resistance fighters who are present in the northern Gaza Strip.

The newspaper pointed out that there is a fear circulating in Zionist forums that the period during which “Israel” will be happy to receive the fifty prisoners held by “Hamas” during the coming hours will be regretted later if the resistance rearranges its ranks and directs strong strikes at the occupation after the end of the truce.
