TEHRAN November 20. 2023 (Saba) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani confirmed on Monday that the reaction of the resistance factions will only end with an immediate cessation of killing operations and the lifting of the siege on Gaza.
Tasnim International News Agency quoted Kanaani in his press conference, referring to Netanyahu’s statements regarding Iran’s relations with the seizure of the Zionist ship by Yemen, as saying “These accusations are false...We have repeatedly announced that the resistance factions in the region represent themselves, make their decisions, and act in accordance with the interests of their peoples, such statements come in the context of dropping charges and aim to escape from difficult situations.”
Kanaani added this entity cannot accept the strategic defeat it suffered at the hands of a resistance group in Gaza and is trying to find a justification for its massive defeat by accusing Iran.
He continued that Iran had said many times that the continuation and escalation of clashes is the result of the comprehensive support provided by the United States for the criminal acts carried out by the Zionist entity, and the continuation of the ongoing attacks against Gaza and the mass massacres committed by the entity under American support."
Kanaani considered that the American government's comprehensive support for war crimes committed by the entity faces major reactions in the region.
He said America's opposition to any Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire, and this American opposition is among the measures that made the situation in Gaza painful, which created Resistance forces in the region to respond the Zionist criminal acts.
Kanaani said that the resistance factions warned that they would not stand idly if the Zionist military attacks did not end, saying the resistance factions have given such a warning many times, explaining that widespread wave of opposition to the war in Gaza shows that the peoples of the world are also dissatisfied with what is happening and want put an end to these crimes.
He went on saying the United States must understand that stopping immediately killing operations, lifting the siege, and allowing immediate aid to Gaza will end the resistance factions reaction.
