MOSCOW November 07. 2023 (Saba) - The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that the Russian Air Defense Forces had shot down a Ukrainian fighter, a "Su- 27", and a "Meg-29".
The Ministry was quoted by Sputnik in a statement: "Russian air defence systems shot down two Ukrainian Su-27 aircraft in the region of Brigadrovka, Kharkov Province, and one MEG-29 fighter in the Donetsk People's Republic, and Russian air defence systems intercepted two Hemars missiles.
The statement added that 33 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles had been destroyed in the areas of Svatovo in the Lugansk People's Republic, Panteleimonovka in the Donetsk People's Republic, Mirnoy and Chervonogorka in the Zaporozhye Oblast, as well as Novaya Zborivka in the Kherson Oblast.
The statement continued: “On the direction south of Donetsk, units of the forces of the “East” group of the Russian forces, with support from the Air Force and artillery, targeted personnel and equipment of the “72nd” Mechanized Brigade and the “128th” Regional Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian forces in the Oglidar and Starayamayorka regions of the Donetsk People’s Republic. ".
It is reported that the enemy's casualties in this direction amounted to some 70 military personnel, and two armoured combat vehicles were destroyed, in addition to the "Gvozdika"gun.
The statement indicated that, in the direction of Kherson, the enemy's casualties amounted to some 55 soldiers, in addition to two vehicles, a "Msa-B" howitzer gun and a "Gvozdika" gun.
