The Director of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom, said in a statement published on the United Nations website on Friday: He “expresses his deep shock at reports of attacks on ambulances evacuating patients near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, which led to deaths, injuries and damage.”.
He renewed his call for the need to protect patients, health workers, facilities and ambulances at all times, and called for a “ceasefire now.”
In turn, the United Nations Population Fund condemned the Zionist attack on ambulances at the entrance to Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest hospital in Gaza, which caused “victims of innocent women and children and displaced Palestinians searching for shelter.”
