GAZA October 26. 2023 (Saba) - Salama Maarouf, the head of the Hamas-run government media office in Gaza has announced that the Zionist enemy has committed more than 688 massacres against Palestinian families, during which about 4,807 martyrs have died since the start of the Zionist-Nazi aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7th.
This came during a press conference on Wednesday evening to present the daily update on Nazi-Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip, which continues for the 19th consecutive day.
Maarouf began the conference by offering condolences to journalist Wael al-Dahdouh, stressing that the enemy deliberately targeted his family.
He pointed out that the killed of his wife, son, and daughter came after threating him from the Zionist enemy to stop him from performing his journalistic mission and documenting the Nazi crimes it committed in Gaza.
Maarouf pointed out that the number of martyrs since the start of the Holocaust of the Zionist-Nazi enemy on October 7th has risen to 6,546 martyrs, including 2,704 children, 1,584 women and girls, and 364 elderly people, in addition to 1,600 missing people under the rubble, including 900 children, while 17,439 citizens were injured.
He pointed out that more than 183,000 housing units were inventoried and were damaged by the ongoing aggression, and 50 percent of the housing units in the Gaza Strip, including more than 28,500 housing units that were completely demolished by the occupation or became uninhabitable.
Maarouf stated that 77 government headquarters and dozens of public and service facilities were destroyed by the occupation and caused significant damage, while 188 schools were subjected to various damages, including 35 schools that were out of service.
He also pointed out that the Zionist enemy continues to target water, electricity and sewage networks, putting a number of them out of service.
The enemy also continued to target churches and mosques, with 35 mosques completely damaged and three churches severely damaged.
Maarouf stressed that the continued crimes of the enemy against civilians confirm that what he is doing is a Zionist-Nazi holocaust against the people of the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian people everywhere they exist, which extends from the aggression against Palestine in 1948 until the present day.
