TEHRAN October 2023 (Saba) - Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has confirmed that what is happening in Gaza are terrible crimes against innocent, defenseless women and children, and are being carried out with direct and official support from the United States and other Western countries.
Raisi's statement came upon his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov who is visiting Tehran to participate in a meeting of the Cooperation Group in the Caucasus region, according to Tasnim International News Agency.
He considered that foreign intervention increases crises and exacerbates problems, expressing his hope that the results of the Tehran meeting will lead to enhancing security, stability and peace in the region and resolving differences between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The Iranian president pointed to the desire of the two countries, Iran and Russia, to improve the level of cooperation, especially economic cooperation, saying Iran is determined to implement bilateral agreements and stress accelerating and facilitating their implementation.

He pointed to the words of the American President when he said that if “Israel” had not existed in the region, the United States would have taken steps to create it. explaining such statement means that the Americans, in order to protect their interests, are ready to shed the blood of women and children and destroy the homes of the Palestinian people.
Raisi added the United States is trying to follow up on what it failed to achieve on the ground in supporting the Zionist entity and securing its racist interests, by issuing a resolution in the UN Security Council, and therefore the free countries and peoples of the world hope that Russia will turn, given its position and influence in the Security Council, as well as The international arena, without realizing American intentions.
In turn, the Russian Foreign Minister stressed his country’s commitment to implementing all its agreements and cooperating with Iran in the economic, trade, transport, culture and energy fields, saying Participation in the 3+3 meeting in Tehran is necessary and a manifestation of Russia’s regional cooperation with Iran.
Lavrov stated that expanding cooperation between the countries of the region could guarantee the interests and development of all of them, saying the region’s issues without the interference of outsiders was emphasized.
