GAZA October 22. 2023 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy forces continued their barbaric war on the Houses of God and on Saturday evening bombed two mosques in the northern Gaza Strip and completely destroyed them.
The Palestinian Information Center reported that enemy aircraft bombed the Martyr Imad Akl Mosque in Jabalia and al-Tawbah Mosque in the northern Gaza Strip, completely destroying them. The total number of mosques destroyed by the enemy since October 7th rose to 28 mosques.
Earlier, the Ministry of Endowments in Gaza said the Zionist enemy continues to violate religious and humanitarian taboos and international laws in its continuing assault on the Gaza Strip, and mosques had a large share of massive destruction, over a period of 15 days, which was described as a “war of extermination.”
The Ministry confirmed that enemy missiles and bombs flattened 26 mosques and completely destroyed them. These mosques were added to Imad Aql and al-Tawbah mosques, making 28 mosques.
The center highlighted a list of the names and locations of Islamic mosques destroyed by the barbarism of the Zionist enemy.
The Ministry indicated that dozens of mosques were targeted, which were partially destroyed and some of them were seriously damaged, as well as the destruction of civilian sites, including the Ministry’s main headquarters, the headquarters of its affiliated Holy Quran Radio, and the Greek Orthodox Church, as well as the martyrdom of a number of the Ministry’s employees, numbering ten, and the injury of many of them.
It stressed that it is still carrying out its duty alongside all government institutions and presenting its noble message through its imams, preachers and employees, by distributing preachers to most shelter centers to stabilize the displaced and spread reassurance in their souls, holding prayers, Friday sermons, preaching lessons in mosques, and carrying out preaching tours in hospitals.
The Ministry warned the Zionist enemy against continuing its aggression and targeting the holy places, targeting women, children and the elderly, and demanded that it stop continuing such crimes.
It called on all Islamic and international institutions to intervene immediately and urgently and take practical steps in order to stop the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip and make it pay the price for its criminal practices against defenseless civilians, mosques and churches.
