SANA'A September 27.2023 (Saba)-The National Defense Council of the Republic of Yemen issued an important statement, the text of which follows:

In response to the contents of the speech of the Revolution Leader , “May God protect him,” on the occasion of the noble birth of the Prophet, 1445 AH. May the best blessings , peace be upon him and his family, the National Defense Council held an emergency meeting headed by Field Marshal Mahdi Muhammad al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council - Supreme Commander of the Armed and Security Forces, and decided on the contents of the revolution leader's speech containing the first stage of radical change and the constitutionality of the Qur’an.

While the National Defense Council supports and blesses the decision of the Revolution Leader and the popular consensus it gained in all provinces of the Republic, it, through the Supreme Political Council, announces the dismissal of the current government headed by Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor and assigns it to manage regular public affairs except for appointment and dismissal until a new government is formed.

The Council praised the government's role during the last period, despite the obstacles it faced in terms of aggression, siege, limited resources, its contribution to national and popular steadfastness in the face of aggression.

The Council also expressed its thanks and appreciation for the honorable presence of the masses of the Yemeni people on the occasion of the noble birth of the Prophet and what it demonstrates of the Yemeni people’s connection to the Messenger, may God’s prayers , peace be upon him and his family, and the book he brought. It also thanks the committees participating in the success of the event in all the arenas of the Republic, and everyone who contributed and participated in the success of these religious and national celebrations that deepen faith identity.
