GAZA July 17. 2023 (Saba) - Head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Ismail Haniyeh on Monday affirmed "Gaza constitutes a solid base for resistance for changing the rules of engagement and a strategic asset for the long-term resistance project."
The Palestinian Shehab News Agency quoted Haniyeh during a meeting with the board of directors of the Association of Palestinian Scholars via the “Google Meet” application as saying the West Bank has triumphed over its circumstances and has triumphed over all the challenges it was a few years ago, and that the new change in the West Bank and the rise of the resistance and its youth and the resumption of operations after the difficult circumstances it went through.
He added the current government of the enemy poses a great threat to the Palestinian cause, adding "we must prepare well for their plans that seek to change the reality in the West Bank, the temporal and spatial division of al-Aqsa Mosque, the expansion of settlements and the new settlement of nearly a million new settlers in the occupied West Bank to perpetuate the Palestinian-Jewish dual nationalism and end just Palestinian nationalism."
Haniyeh went on saying "The conflict in the West Bank is in its most severe phase, and the war is purely religious.. pointing out that the current government of the Zionist enemy is seeking with all its means to prevent the emergence of any manifestations of resistance, and the continuation of the normalization convoy with Arab countries."
Haniyeh said: "What is required of us is to protect the divine project and its ideological manifestations in all the vocabulary of our intellectual, educational and jihadist project, and to show compassion between us, and to continue the strategy of building strength and diversifying, expanding and renewing the resistance in all its places, and to work to unite our Palestinian people on the basis of constants and non-recognition of the Zionist entity, mobilizing the nation and moving from the strategy of support and attribution to the strategy of partnership in liberation and victory, and the need to build strategic alliances for the resistance project."
