TEHRAN July 16. 2023 (Saba) - Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Nasser Kanaani stated on Sunday that the Western media empire condones the violence and repression practiced by the Zionist enemy entity against the protestors.
Mehr News Agency reported that Kanaani criticized Western countries that deal with issues in the world with double standards.
"We see the continuation of several months of protests and strikes, paralyzing the demonstrations of hundreds of thousands of people in the occupied territories, and suppressing them, using the latest means of violence against the demonstrators and concealing the statistics of the dead, wounded, and detainees by the security forces and police in the Zionist entity," he said on his account on Twitter.
He added "The Western media overlooks the repression and violence practiced by the Zionist entity against the protestors and the killing of Palestinians, and portrays these protests as a symbol of false democracy in Israel, while exaggerating any small protest gathering in any country that is not an ally of the West."
Kanaani stressed that "the Western media falsely claims to defend human rights and misrepresents the world by describing any act of sabotage and violence in non-allied countries as a protest and revolution."
It is worth mentioning that various cities in the occupied territories witnessed on Saturday massive demonstrations against Prime Minister of the Zionist entity Benjamin Netanyahu for the 28th week in a row. Tel Aviv and Haifa were among the cities in which these demonstrations were organized.
