MOSCOW July 11. 2023 (Saba) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday France's decision to supply Kiev with long-range missiles was wrong and would have serious consequences for Ukraine.
Russia Today channel quoted Peskov as saying "Of course, the range of these missiles still has to be clarified from our point of view, this decision is wrong and its consequences will be reflected on the Ukrainian side, because it will naturally force us to take countermeasures."
Peskov stressed that this step will not affect the course of the Russian operation in Ukraine, adding "Once again, we affirm the steadfastness of our principled approach, and that such decisions cannot and are not able to influence the course of our military operation, and can only aggravate the fate of the Kiev regime."
French President Emmanuel Macron announced before the start of the NATO summit today, Tuesday, in Vilnius, that France had decided to provide Kiev with new long-range missiles that would allow Ukrainian forces to launch “strikes in the depth” of Russia.
