SANA'A June 09. 2023 (Saba) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced a new reduction in the prices of wheat and flour, as part of the continuous review of the prices of basic food commodities.
The ministry issued a circular to update the list of upper ceilings for the prices of basic food commodities, which included reducing the prices of wheat and flour.
According to the circular, a 50-kilogram bag of flour has become at a price of 14,200 riyals, a 25-kilogram bag of flour at 7,200 riyals, a 10-kilogram package at a price of 2,950 riyals, a 5-kilogram bag of 1400 riyals, a kilogram of 300 riyals, and a bag of wheat grains 50 kg Grams for 12,500 riyals, and the size of 25 kilograms, for 6300 riyals.
The circular also stated that the price of milled wheat is 50 kilograms at 13,400 riyals, a package of 25 kilograms at 6,750 riyals, a package of 10 kilograms at 2,750 riyals, a package of five kilograms at 1,400 riyals, and the price of one kilogram is 280 riyals.
The Industry Ministry expressed its appreciation for the responsive companies and shops with updating price lists and reducing prices, stressing that field teams will start the process of monitoring and control, calling on citizens to report any price or supply violation through the toll-free number 174.
