HODEIDA June 09. 2023 (Saba) - The Attorney General, Judge Dr. Muhammad Muhammad al-Dailami, inspected the conditions of prisoners in the Criminal Investigation Prison and the detention centers of police stations in Hodeida province.
During his visit to the Criminal Investigation Prison and the detention centers of the police stations in Al Hawak, Al Hali, and Al Mina districts, the Public Prosecutor briefed.
He listened to clarifications from a number of prisoners about their cases and the periods they spent in prison, and directed the release of a number of prisoners pending investigation with the necessary guarantees, the speedy completion of investigation procedures and the disposal of the remaining cases.
Al-Dailami stated that the visit aims to review the conditions of prisoners, listen to their complaints, and direct the release of a number of them on guarantee.
He praised the efforts made by the justice agencies in fairness to citizens, punishing criminals and protecting society, stressing that the visit will include the rest of the prisons and detention centers in the directorates of Hodeida province to see the conditions of prisoners, the progress of procedures related to cases of prisoners pending investigation and the level of coordination between prisons and detention centers of the police and prosecution departments in the aspect.
