SANA'A March 07. 2023 (Saba)- His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, met on Tuesday the Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel, and the Chairman of the General Al-Thawra Hospital Authority in Sana'a, Dr. Mutahar Murshid.
During the meeting, the achievements of Al-Thawra General Hospital in Sana'a were reviewed in terms of plans, programs and expansion works for various departments, in the context of improving health and treatment services provided to patients, as well as the authority's activity in enhancing the level of health performance during the current stage.
The meeting discussed the difficulties facing the health sector in light of the suffocating US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and blockade that prevents the arrival of medicines and medical supplies and their entry into Yemen, especially medicines for patients with chronic diseases.
In the meeting, President Al-Mashat stressed the importance of going to the pharmaceutical industries and local production of medicines and supplies, by taking advantage of the country's biodiversity and the presence of many plants that are used in the pharmaceutical industry.
He urged the creation of a central pharmacy in each hospital, due to its importance in providing medicines and treatments for patients in hospitals and health facilities at the lowest cost to alleviate the suffering of citizens in light of the US-Saudi aggression and blockade.
