HODEIDA January 07.2023 (Saba) - The General Fisheries Authority of the Red Sea condemned on Saturday the aggression mercenaries' abduction of three fishermen while fishing in Bahees area and taken them to an unknown location, tortured and their boat confiscated.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Authority deplored these outrageous and repeated acts of terrorizing fishermen seeking their families' livelihoods, detaining, torturing and preventing as part of crimes to enforce systematic starvation.
The statement held the United Nations and human rights organizations responsible for silence and turning a blind eye to these criminal practices, which exacerbate the suffering of fishermen, demanding that they assume their responsibilities to protect fishermen and take a stand to prevent such crimes.
