2,000 days of the aggression spoiled and stole the most glamorous years of Yemen's children and put out the light of life in their eyes as well as painted a picture of misery on their faces and left psychological traces that could not easily overcome.

Scenes Will Not Be Wiped Out

The senses and images of scattered bodies and charred corpses will not be erased from the memory and will remain a stain on humanity and international organizations that had turned a blind eye to the crimes of the aggression against the children of Yemen using internationally prohibited weapons.

Studies

Studies indicate that children who have been directly affected by war violations by bombing their houses or killing their relatives and their neighbors and others often have a strong tendency to violence, a general change of mood and poor appetite, and a feeling of instability.

The studies confirm that children are exposed to sleep disorders, involuntary urination, anxiety depression, sadness, fear, lack of initiative and hesitation as well as distracted mind and poor memory, especially those related to school education.

They also confirm the need for children's psychological support to overcome these problems so as to live in peace.

The childhood in Yemen is suffering from the aggression that has drawn a painful scenes of children whose lives were taken or permanently disabled and others are still burned the weight of famine, diseases, epidemics and insecurity.

Deprivation Of The Most Basic Rights

In this regard, the Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Taha al-Mutawakil said to Saba that the aggression coalition dragged Yemen's children during 2,000 days into the bitterness of life – they only taste death, destruction, displacement, hunger, disease, and deprivation of their most basic rights which is that the right to life.

Al-Mutawakel pointed out that the repercussions of the aggression on the health sector during 2000 days were not limited to direct targeting of health facilities for children, which have not abstained from even premature babies but extended to indirect targeting by preventing entry of medicines and medical supplies for children that lead to the emergence of diseases that have claimed the lives of children, including malnutrition, dengue fever and other diseases.

The first missile of the aggression had targeted children and women in Bani Hawat area in the capital Sanaa, and other massacres over the six years of the aggression and on, including Dhahyan's crime in Saada province in which 60 children have been killed, the health minister said.

Children Are The First Targeted

Al- Mutawakel reiterated that 100,000 children have been died by the aggression, diseases and epidemics, including malnutrition and the lack of medicines due to all- inclusive blockade.

Green Light

The fragility and weakness of the United Nations and its inability to see the remains of Yemen's children gave the green light to the aggression coalition led by the Saudi regime to commit most heinous crimes against children in Yemen in 2,000 days.

7,732 children have been registered by the ministry as martyrs, injured or amputated parts of their bodies due to the US-Saudi- aircraft missiles since the first hours of the aggression on March 26, 2015, according to the report.

The report noted that nearly two and a half million children under the age of five are malnourished of whom more than half a million are severely malnourished  and a child dies every 10 minutes, according to the United Nations reports, which also reported that six newborns every two hours died for the lack of medical supplies due to the blockade of the aggression.

It pointed out that there are tens of thousands of children suffering from chronic diseases, the inability of their parents to take them out for treatment aboard due to the closure of Sanaa International airport since August, 8, 2016.  Thousands of them clearly died before the United Nations.

The report indicated that 50 percent of the cholera injuries and deaths are children, as they are the most vulnerable to infection, in addition to the coincidence of the disease with malnutrition that leads to rapid death, rather than several epidemics such as malaria, dengue, diphtheria and others. Children had the largest share of them.

The Biggest Tragedy:

A spokesman for the Ministry of Health Dr. Youssef al-Hadheri confirmed that childhood in Yemen is witnessing the greatest tragedy due to the continuing aggression and siege.

He pointed out that 86 percent of children under the age of five suffer from some type of anemia, and 46 percent of children suffer from stunting, and there are 80,000 children suffering from mental disorders due to the sounds of aircraft and missile explosions.

Dr. Al-Hadheri confirmed that six newborns die every two hours due to the deterioration of health care services, and 65 children under five out of a thousand children die due to some other disease, indicating that 320 thousand patients were unable to receive treatment abroad due to the closure of Sanaa airport, of whom about 42 died. A thousand patients, 30 percent of whom are children.

He pointed out that 12 million children in Yemen need humanitarian and health assistance, and that 51 percent of health facilities are partially or completely disabled due to the aggression and blockade, which has a direct impact on providing care for children.

For Any Sin Or Reason To Be Killed

2,000 days and the children of Yemen are crying out for help and crying out to the human conscience, Why is all this happening to us? Is it time to stop these tragedies?

In conclusion, if these numbers of victims are not sufficient to place the coalition of aggression on the black list of child killers, then what are the standards adopted by the United Nations? Is Saudi funds the first and last measure in the United Nations reports?
