SANAA, Dec. 5 (Saba) – Human rights minister Alia Faisal Abdullatif said her ministry is working to enhance and protect the human rights principles for all society in Yemen, including refugees who have fled to Yemen since more than two decades to escape wars and conflicts in their countries.

"The large numbers of foreign refugees who have escaped into Yemen through legal or illegal means made human trafficking gangs in Africa to gain advantage from those escapers' needs.. in some cases the gangs use those refugees to destabilize the security and stability of the country and so the national committee to combat human trafficking was formed here to tackle the issue, " minister Alia said at an opening training workshop for specialists of refugee community here in the capital Sanaa.

The minister said the committee has worked tirelessly to combat human trafficking through spreading awareness and presenting a number of relevant national bills to the parliament for approval, but the ongoing Saudi air aggression hampering the process.
