Twenty-four grooms and brides celebrated the completion of half their faith today in the Al-Faraz’ah area of Al-Arsh District, Al-Bayda Governorate, in the tenth collective wedding organized by the local community with full self-funding by the residents.
During the celebration, Deputy Governor Nasser Al-Wahbi congratulated the couples on their wedding and praised the growing social awareness among the people of Al-Arsh District, which has become a model in hosting collective weddings across several villages.
He emphasized that collective weddings are an effective means to ease the marriage process for young people, reduce expenses and extravagance, support marital stability, strengthen social bonds, and promote community solidarity.
Ali Al-Faraz’i, head of the organizing committee, stated that this tenth collective wedding in Al-Faraz’ah aims to reinforce social cohesion, alleviate the financial burden of marriage, curb rising dowries, and encourage young people to get married while upholding values of charity and communal support.
The groom Ayash Al-Faraz’i, speaking on behalf of the newlyweds, expressed deep appreciation to the organizing committee for their outstanding efforts in ensuring the success of the wedding.
The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Finance Office Salman Al-Faraz’i, Sheikh Sultan Al-Tairi, and a number of local leaders and dignitaries. It featured poetry and traditional chants that reflected the region’s cultural customs.
